NOTD : Navigate her!

Back with another nail post featuring my first ever Essie nail polish. Essie is quite a popular brand originating from the US and has become increasingly popular these past few years in the UK. I first heard of Essie from the blogosphere but found their polishes just abit too expensive (usually retail for about £8 a bottle) to find them worth trying. Also I've read that they are incredibly streaky to apply.

Whilst surfing the internet I happened to glance upon an Essie polish called Navigate Her and completely fell in love with the colour. I had to have it! So did a quick google search and managed to find it for only £2.99 on this website. Postage was only £1.95 and it arrived a couple of days later.

I found the application a little tricky, if you applied too much pressure with the brush it was streaky but with a light hand application was a breeze. I used two coats and applied Sally Hansen's Advanced Hard as nails on top. The above picture was taken after 5 days of wear and apart from my index finger (where I've actually broken my nail) there's been no chipping. I'm probably going to remove it just from boredom but I'm sure this could easily last another few days! I'm very impressed by this polish and am definately going to be repurchasing some more Essie!

NOTD: Barry M Pink Silver Glitter

Wow so I've been away for absolutely ages but I'm ready to start blogging again and what better way to start then with a NOTD.

Even though I've been away from the blogging world my love of nail polish has not faded, my nail polish collection has increased exponentially to a ridiculous amount of which I'm way too ashamed to disclose.

So thought I'd show you the most recent polish I've added to my collection :)

This is Barry M Pink Silver Glitter nail polish. I've used three coats to achieve the above look but this still isn't 100% opaque more like 95%. However I LOVE this polish. It's so pretty and sparkly but not too obnoxious.

I also decided to add some silver chrome nail polish by Star Gazer to my thumb. To get a nice crisp line I just used a piece of tape. I think the chrome and glitter effect go really well together. I love doing an accent nail :)

I got the polish from Boots for £2.99 but Superdrug currently have Barry M polishes 2 for £5!

xoxo
